Sony Muteki LBT-ZX99i

$650.00 Released February, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Capable of loud volume, powerful output. X-Groove function provides loud, thumping bass. Clear, natural sound in the bass range with X-Groove off for rock, jazz, etc.

The Cons:Orange colored accents will clash with some decor, may be hard to tell until its on your shelf. Large footprint, takes up a lot of room. Included remote control is very basic, doesn't give access to too many of the functions.

The Sony Muteki LBT- ZX99i is a 2-way Bass Reflex shelf-system/boom-box outfitted with four 8.7” hybrid mid-range/subwoofer units and dual 2” horn tweeters that output a total of 720w of power.

The fourth of four Sony i shelf systems, the Sony LBT- ZX99i is an upgrade from the Sony Muteki LBT-ZX66i in that it outputs much more power (versus 560w), it features larger woofers (versus 6.7”), and it maintains larger tweeters (versus 1”). In all other ways, however, the LBT-ZX99i is practically a duplicate of its downgraded peer. For instance, the LBT-ZX99i also sports a 5-disc CD changer with Play Exchange and CD-R/CD-RW & MP3 playback, not to mention an iPod dock with charge, play, and control functions. The LBT-ZX99i also boasts a front A/V port, an AM/FM tuner with 30 station presets, a large/vivid display, and a remote control with full iPod menu control. The Sony Muteki LBT-ZX99i retails for $649.99 (versus $449.99) and comes with a 90 day limited warranty.
