The Sony MHC-GX450 is a 125 watt per channel shelf stereo system with 3 disc changer and separate 150 watt 8" woofer. It features MP3 playback capability, dual full logic cassette deck, AM/FM radio tuner with 30 station presets and remote control, and also has Sony GameSync mixing which lets you combine audio from the front panel input with either the radio, cd or cassette player for an all in one experience.

Making a mix tape is possible by programming up to 25 steps from the discs in the changer in any order you wish using synchro record. The radio as also been equipped with RDS or Radio Data System, which will display the name of the FM station on the front panel, and you can also record to tape directly from the radio, cd, tape a, and the left and right front panel game inputs. Internal effects include an equalizer with 8 different presets and 3 user definable presets that can be saved, as well as surround sound mode, and the GameSync function can be adjusted to varying levels of both the video game audio and internal audio. Those wishing to add a little karaoke to their day would be advised to look into otherwise similar MHC-RG555 model which has a microphone input.
