Users are able to play and control music and video content from their iPod or iPhone, and charge the device while docked and playing. With built in Wi-Fi, by connecting to an established home network, this system also provides wireless WEP, WPA, or WPA2 secure access to a PC music library, or other DLNA compatible storage devices for streaming songs. Through wireless access, this system is also able to stream internet music from thousands of online radio stations, with the use of an FM Sony vTuner. For quality sound, the SS-CMX700 front 2-way speaker has a 25mm soft dome tweeter, 120mm woofer, and an impedance rating of 6 ohms. Additionally, this system offers a Sony-trademarked Party Streaming Mode that allows users to play music in multiple rooms by adding additional Sony Home-Share wireless network speakers or docks.
