Product Shot 1 The Pros:Wood speakers look great, have a sophisticated high-end finish. Fairly small footprint, fits into a small space. Sound output is full and rich, fills a small space well.

The Cons:Looses time settings quickly if power interruption occurs - no back up battery power. Not capable of very loud sound output, won't fill a medium or large sized room.

Sony introduces the line of mini systems with the CMT-BX1. Although basic, this unit can provide a user with a variety of features. Essentially, Sony constructed the CMT-BX1 around the concept of remaining small is size and having the capability to playback a wide range of audio files or CD formats.

 The front loading single disc player accommodates CD-R/RW discs and it also decodes MP3 files. The CMT-BX1 can also be coupled with a PC through the 2.5mm jack, allowing for a plug-and-play experience. The speaker potential is what should be expected from an entry model, with a total output power of 30W coming from a Bass Reflex Type Full Range speaker system. What may set this model from other manufacturers entry mini-systems is the Mega Bass produced by a sound enhancer.  Other notable features include the 30-preset FM/AM tuner, LCD display, and an internal clock allowing for timed events (alarm clock).
