Polk Audio I-Sonic

The I-Sonic is a high-end tabletop entertainment system from Polk Audio that combines an HD radio receiver, iPod dock, DVD player, and high-performance stereo. The sytem is compatible with all newer iPod models, including the iPod Touch, as well as the iPhone.

Its firmware is upgradeable to ensure compatibility with future iPod models and software. The I-Sonic includes a receiver for HD radio, a fairly new technology which provides CD-quality sound on FM, and FM-quality sound on AM stations. More than 1,900 radio stations across the U.S. now broadcast in HD. The system also supports XM satellite radio. Reviews conclude that the I-Sonic's 4-speaker array, digital signal processing, and PowerPort bass produce superior sound quality, so the system's features and performance seem to justify its high price.
