4 gigabytes of internal storage are available for adding MP3, WMA, WAV and AAC file formats to the unit, enabling all-in-one standalone performance. Similar to Pioneer's famed line of DJ performance gear, the STZ-D10Z-R has the ability to slow down and speed up the tempo of a given song without altering its pitch. Users can also set cue points within a track so they can return to a specific section right away, a function that is excellent for rehearsing choreography to specific passages. Similarly, "8-Beat Skip" mode can be used to move forward or backward in a song by eight quarter notes for instant playback purposes. Comprehensive dance battles can be configured within "Auto Battle" mode, incorporating countdowns and spoken-word prompts to present multiple competitors with a pre-configured section of a song. The included remote control helps to minimize back-and-forth manual adjustment of the system, and offers complete wireless configuration.
