Onkyo CS-V645

The Onkyo CS-V645 is one of two shelf systems (CS-445, CS-V645) geared for offices, bedrooms, and other small rooms. It builds from its weaker counterpart by trading in a simple CD player for a DVD/CD combo unit.

Plus it incorporates a USB mass storage interface, s-video & component video outputs, and larger speakers—each housing a bigger 4-3/4” woofer and 1” tweeter. The signature component though is an iPod/iPhone docking station that’s compatible the iTouch, the iPod Classic, and 2nd through 5th generation iPod Nanos. One notable difference however is that the CS-V645 is restricted to jut FM tuning. Nevertheless, it does offer an HDMI output with 1080p upscaling.
