Onkyo CS-325

$230.00 Released August, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Highs and mids are consistently clear. Max volume output is higher than typical shelf systems. All-metal casing and aluminum front panel offer better build quality than many standard plastic basic shelf systems.

The Cons:Bass frequencies lack depth and some users may want to upgrade to an external sub. Lacks 3.5mm input, strange because this is rather common on such devices.

The Onkyo CS-325 is a 2-way, bass reflex mini sound system engineered with a robust chassis designed to suppress vibrations. It features two 5-1/8" woofers with a 1" tweeter each, and a multifunctional receiver with a CD player that supports single discs with regular audio, as well as MP3 files.

What allows the CS-325 to stand out against its competitors is its wider frequency response compared to traditional mini audio systems, its reduced amplifier distortion at higher volumes, and its enhanced control of current and electrical/mechanical kick-back from speakers. This enables the CS-325 to deliver higher quality audio that would normally be expected from such a compact device. Additional features of the CS-325 sound system include an AM/FM radio, Remote Interactive(RI) for integrating compatible components via s ingle remote control, and an optional iPod dock for connecting directly to an iPod. The Onkyo CS-325 retails for $229.99 and comes with a 2 year limited warranty.
