$120.00 Released January, 2006

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Bass quality is good, low tones are consistently clear. Remote works well from a distance, not all competing models even include remotes. High maximum volume output for this price.

The Cons:Form factor is large compared to competing models at this price point. Higher frequencies have tendency to sound tinny. No battery mode, some competitors offer this.

Where to Buy

It runs on eight C-size batteries which do not come included, or an AC power plug. The Emerson iTone iP550BK comes with a USB onnector and an auxiliary input that allows newer iPods that don't fit with the device, such as the iPod shuffle, to be used anyway, along with other MP3 players and portable CD players. It is small enough to fit on a bedside stand so is a great option for those looking for portable speakers for an older iPod.
